Why Isle of Wight wedding suppliers choose the wedding industry - part deux

We wrote a previous blog with the responses from Isle of Wight wedding suppliers when we asked them Why they choose to work in the wedding industry. If you didn't read it then you can take a look after you've read through Part deux (thats two in french).

You might meet lots of different wedding supliers whilst planning your wedding on the Isle of Wight and sometimes if you don't remember names and exactly which supplier is doing what for you (the whole thing can be a blur), you might put a personality to a service. We often find personalities are what attract us to working with people. It makes for a much more pleasant experience, and needing to deal with that person over the course of months, a year or years makes planning your wedding a lot easier.

The following is an insight into what some of the Wight Wedding Days suppliers have said when asked why they choose to work in this lovely pretty industry to help people like you plan the day you are imagining.

Just click on their business name and you will be taken to their profile page.

Haven Falconry – Isle of Wight wedding entertainment

Because all the work we do are happy events, and none can be more happy than a wedding!

Old Shanklin Guest House – Isle of Wight accommodation

People don’t get married every day. You don’t go to your relative’s or friend’s wedding every day. Every wedding is different and every wedding is special, so everyone involved wants to make the most of it.

We pride ourselves on giving people the best experience we can possibly offer. We understand that where people stay for a wedding isn’t the most important part of it, but we want to make sure that we do make it memorable even though they don’t expect it. Guests don’t choose where they go for a wedding and many of the wedding guests we host have never been to the Island before, so we try to make sure they want to come back.

Prima Dana Cakes - Isle of Wight wedding cake

The wedding industry provides the most opportunities for expressing my creative talents. Knowing that I have contributed to a couple's happiness, through my artistic interpretation of their ideas or wishes, on the most important day in their lives is a thrill and takes job satisfaction to a completely new level.

Wight Photo booths - Isle of Wight wedding entertainment

Robert has worked in the wedding photography industry for the last 7 years on the island and having photographed and attended many weddings over the years, he knew that something like WIGHT Photobooths would be a great hit for any island wedding.

Dazzle and Fizz parties – Children's entertainment and party planning

My husband and I married in 2011 and we know that aside from the birth of your children, it is the most important day of your life. We also know that planning a wedding can come with its stresses, so the more that we can do to help alleviate that, the better. The formalities of weddings are not always conducive with childlike sensibilities, so it is essential to ensure that the children are well catered for throughout the day. As parents we appreciate that if the children are happy, the grown ups are happy too, so children’s party planning and wedding planning really do go hand in hand.

Say it with brownies - Isle of Wight wedding cake and brownies

I like to work with couples getting married as it’s very rewarding to work on individual requirements to create a platter or stack of brownies that is truly sensational.

Donna Jones Hairdressing - Isle of Wight hairdresser

In a nutshell I love hairdressing and I love everything about weddings! So I could not think of a better career to have than being a wedding hairstylist! It’s an absolute honour to be involved in a couple’s special day and I find the emotions so overwhelming. I usually shed a few tears when I see the transformation of my brides! Working with clients on such a personal level takes a lot of trust and communication. Because of this connection I have made some great friends out of doing brides hair on their wedding day. Love love love my job!

We hope that offered you an insight into the people behind the businesses and why they choose to be in the fast paced but very rewarding wedding industry. We love working in it everyday and being able to get excited with suppliers about the weddings they get to work on and the experiences your wedding day offers them to be creative.
