Part 3 - Why Isle of Wight wedding suppliers choose to work in the wedding industry

Here is part 3 of what our Isle of Wight wedding suppliers had to say about why they choose to work in the lovely dream making industry that is Weddings. As you move closer to your wedding day through all the planning you might be wondering if all those people who choose ‘this’ on a daily basis all year round are mad, then we can’t say there aren’t a few mad ones out there including us! On the whole it is you who makes their day or even sometimes year, and spurs them on to keep working at making you all happier on your wedding day.

Just click on their business names and you will be taken to their profiles

Tickety Boo Cupcakes – Isle of Wight wedding cake and cupcakes

I feel so lucky to be part of a couples’ special day. It is magical to take someone’s’ dream and turn it into sponge and icing. It’s the best job in the world to be part of  a wedding and I am just a romantic cake lover at heart.

I love weddings! Everything about them! I love seeing the Brides face when she sees her bouquet on the morning of her wedding and receiving handwritten ‘thank you’ notes from them after their big day. It makes the 5am starts worth it!

The Rock Shop – Isle of Wight wedding favours, sweet carts and centrepieces

Sweets have always been a part of the wedding industry from centuries back when the Greeks used to offer sugared almonds as wedding favours to represent health, wealth and fertility.

We realised there was a place in the market on the Island a couple of years ago when I was getting married and looking for original ideas for favours and there was very little on the Island that was unique or had any real style so I made lots of designs in the shop and slowly the ideas started to develop into the sweetie bouquets then the sweetie trees and of course the wedding favours. The Candy Buffets were born from the fact that we had two shops packed full of all these goodies and seeing the reaction of our customers when they would come in a find sweets that reminded them of being children or that sparked some amazing memories that we decided that it would make a great addition to a wedding.

A wedding is the only chance to wear items with real glamour, drama and elegance and it is rewarding to see how happy you can make a bride and help her enjoy her day wearing the gown of her dreams. Even being able to add that extra accessory which adds that extra bit of romance is exciting and satisfying.

A return to romance!!
