All About The Wedding

Isle of Wight wedding event now only £5 entry!!!

So unfortunately it doesn’t include lunch anymore but if you do buy a ticket ahead of time you do guarantee yourself a glass of bucks fizz and a goody bag. You also get to book in for a fitting with Sugar and Spice who provide wedding day lingerie (and any other day on that note!).

With suppliers like Liz Earle (helloooo, we love the cleanse and polish!), dresses from Gems Bridal wear and Tie The Knot, venue dressing and gifts from Personalize, photography from Duncan Knifton Photography and the chance to jump into a photo booth for a pic with your mum, groom or besties with Wight Photobooths. There are so many to mention but there will be a pamper area for hair, make up and skin care advice (and testers!!), cakes and catering to be taken in then swiftly tasted from Petticoats and Frills Cakes and All About Catering.

There are lots of suppliers we are forgetting but that would be telling all wouldn’t it!

A temporary ‘Spa’ will be offering tempting taster treatments and Neals Yard products to sample and buy. You can try your dream dress on combined with accessories, hair and make up. Hell!! Just get your groom to meet you in his best shirt at 12.30 and ask if there is a free slot to be married. Wedding venue for a fiver anyone….we’re joking of course.

Is it starting to take shape in your mind as something not to be missed?! Oh and there is a group wedding consultation from our very own Katie who is happy to answer your questions and queries on wedding planning, and a great demo we don’t want to talk about just yet…….There will be some interesting talks and demos which you won’t want to miss.

Have to say that just taking in the venue is lovely in itself, and if you haven’t decided on a venue yet then it is well worth a visit and a chat with the team there to consider it as the ideal venue for the wedding day you are imagining. The suppliers are theming the whole venue so you will get a taste of what they can do and really have a nice experience visiting the venue as it has never been dressed or experienced before!

So, a few details so you can plan to be there -

This new and unique wedding event is going to be held at Northwood House, Cowes, IOW (hint-click the venue name for directions), on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th June. You need to buy tickets for each day as the £5 doesn’t get you into both for two glasses of bubbly and two goody bags!

Arrive at 10.30 and plan to stay until 3.30 because you don’t want to miss a thing! There will be intros to the event, talks, performances, wedding demos, oh and surprise performances!!! So don’t arrive at 12.30 wondering why you missed the action, but we will tell you all about it of course!

BUY your ticket now! Before you spend it on your lunch or a new lippy – go to the Dornellie website here and buy your ticket along with one for the people you are bringing along to take notes for you. You can also pop into Gems in Newport, Personalize in Newport, Tie The Knot in Cowes or Sugar and Spice in Newport or Ryde and buy a ticket right there and then.

Karen tells us she has ordered sunshine and when that arrives we will all be doing cartwheels on the lawn at Northwood House for two days, so why not come and join us all for all of the above and a cartwheel or two!
